This program is oriented at players who are required to work and improve their individual and team skills. They will be introduced to different techniques and training methodologies to ensure their progress and development. The Development program is the base program, which gives players the main start for the transition to the Advanced program of Barça Academy KSA. Our coaches regularly monitor players’ progress in the Development program and give the opportunity to selected players of various ages to move level up if they deem them fit and ready to take it to the next level. Attention is given to mastering players’ individual skills like ball controlling, running with ball, dribbling, tackling, ball interception and shooting as well as sharpening players’ team skills and their understanding of each particular role and position on the pitch.

Our recently introduced “Advanced Teams” program serves as a tier Between our Selection and Development teams. Players in this program will go through a specific advanced training program different from development teams. Players that are part of this program train three times per week and participate in either weekly internal competitions or regional leagues and tournaments according to their level. During the season, Advanced level players have a chance to be promoted to Selection teams if the coaches determine that it is the best for the player’s development and if they deem them fit and ready to take it to the next level

International exposure

Our members get the chance to be regularly exposed to international experiences by having an opportunity to travel to Spain and other countries and participate in prestigious international events such as annual Barça Academy Wold Cup in Barelona, Mediterranean International Cup in Andorra and Costa Brava, Bahrain International Championship Academies Tournament, and more

Leonel Delgado studied sports & physical activity’s science with studies in Spain and Germany, with the UEFA “A” license as trainer, and masters in high performance and physical education teacher. “LEO, settled in Riyadh, since January 2020”
